The day was a great success, and a jolly good time was had by pirates and land lubbers all!
The weather stayed fine for us, and everyone enjoyed the wonderful food made for us by Nan, Tina & Glenn (Tina’s fiancée). Well done to Glenn on the tip pot you had filled on the day.
Thanks again to Neil MacDonald of Calcaria vets, who once again volunteered for the “wet the vet” game, poor Neil, he certainly took some lashing, good job the weather was kind to us.
The charity stalls all went with a bang, making good money for their own individual charity’s.
Nan, also would like to say thank you to all who supported her charity stall in purchasing one of her Katz Kozee glitter scarfs, also a HUGE thanks to a dear friend Mary Rollerson of Khatynka, for knitting all those wonderful Katz Kozee teddy bears, and also to a dear friend Caz, who whiled away her time painting the faces of any children that required her services on the day.
Nan was pleased to announce her final weight for the sponsored slim she was doing for the Exotic & Persian rescue, also with £130 of that monies raised going to Cat Rescue & Welfare next door to Aristocats here.
Nan was still very let down after the disaster of nearly two years ago, when someone diddled us out of all our precious funds raised, when we were sold cat pens, supposedly new, but when they arrived, were only fit for burning. And once more, friends and loyal customers have rallied again, and Nan was spurred on by the need of her much loved cats and their rescue, she decided to combine this with her need to lose some weight to help with her own health issue’s.
Total weight loss was 2 sts. And Nan’s final monies raised was £1,130, so, my thanks once again to you in helping me achieve my goal. The Exotic Short Hair cat rescue is now the better of £500, and a little Persian rescue at Maltby Nr.Rotherham, is now in receipt of much needed foods, medication, and face cleaning items, both party’s being so very happy with their gifts.
Nan is now on another fund raising sponsor, this time for the Cat Rescue & Welfare here in Escrick, as they are in much need of funding for the installation of sneeze barriers, and heating to see them through the cold winter months.
I would also like to thank personally all my team here, who have great on these events, and this year especially in turning out in these party outfits, even Christian of Royal Canin was brave enough to become the biggest pirate of us all on the day, thanks again Christian for your support, and to Peter Causnet for the wonderful cake, made and donated by yourself and wife Heather.
Thanks to everyone who attended by making this again, our happiest 14 years celebrated day.
Kate from Cat Rescue & Welfare is hoping to have an open day herself for the official opening of her new rescue, details will appear on this page when we get them in.
My thanks again to all my wonderful loyal customers who have been with me during these 14 years.
